Hello! My baby is full of cold and really snotty! Any tips on how I can help him through the night? Should I let him sleep with a pillow tonight so he's not flat on his back? Will be grateful for any advice Smile

Sorry I should've said... he's just over 5 months.

Can he roll over yet? I'd be wary about a pillow at that age. My son has one now and he's 22m but before we'd tilt the cot with books at the feet if we needed to. Also a steamy bathroom is meant to be a big help for congestion, my son hated that so it never quite worked for us we used a baby Vicks rub on a tissue close by to his cot and on his feet. Hope your LO gets a good nights sleep

The thing that helps our DC the most is saline nasal capsules (not spray) you can order them online. They help keep nose moist and help to clear mucus. Snuffle babe vaporub also good as is calpol plug in for baby's room.

Not sure about pillow, would be a risk if baby can roll. During the worst nights I'm afraid DC would only sleep upright on either DH or I!

Also I agree put them in bathroom while you have a steamy shower to ease congestion.
