Baby's chest clicking

Hi, my ds is 6 months old. His chest has started clicking every so often today. It has never happened before. It has got more frequent as the day has gone on and now can be every few minutes when he is playing. It does not happen when he is still e.g. asleep being cuddled. It is the sort of clicking like when your knuckles or joints click, can feel it when I hold him. Any ideas what this could be? Should I be worried?

Thank you for replying. I took him to see the hv to get weighed and asked her about it. She suggested we get a gp appointment but didn't seem overly concerned so we are booked in to the gp! Fingers crossed it's nothing serious.
