Hi im very new and looking for advice! My 6 year old is having episodes of shaking, they started i March soon after her birthday. They happen random times a day fitst started now and again but shes had 5 this week two on awaking? She complains of feeling hot inside mild shaking pale skin and sometimes sweaty. We hsve had random blood glucoce test snd fbc. They came back fine! She knows its happening and calls for help. They last between 5 and 15 min but after effects of feeling ill can be 30 min. Im at a lose end now and worried.

Video episode.
Show video, and diary of when/duration/details to GP.

I think this is called rigor and I have them when I'm exhausted or verging on illness. They are normally accompanied by a mild temp of 101 I think.
Sorry I don't know more but google it and see what you think.
Agree about videoing to show gp and take temp too as it's very specific to rigor.

Hi thank you for replying. I should of mentioned i take her temp and its always between 36.7 and 37. But i will look in to the condition.

You say she's had random blood sugar tests but have you tested her sugar when these symptoms happen? It could be hypoglycaemia, certainly the shaking, sweating and pale skin could be explained by a hypo. I don't know about the hot inside feeling as my son is too young to explain how he feels.

I get this myself if I haven’t eaten enough. I literally have to eat loads of sugary food to feel better. I’ve been tested for diabetes and am not. My mum also gets it though. X

Thanks for your reply. No we have not tested with finger prick ive not got a glucose monitor. I did have one whilst carrying the twins has i had GD. But since disgarded it. Im still boarder line tho but manage it well. Im currently writing everything down has it happens. I ask her how shes feeling when it happens and she says she feela sick and hot inside. If it happens today im taking her straight to A&E or if not shewill get an appointment at the docters first thing in the morning. She asked me earlier if she will feel strange everyday 😔
