Teenage Depression - Fluoxetine - CBT

My 15 year old daughter has not been in school since October. She was originally diagnosed with anxiety disorder and was suffering panic attacks in school. We took her out of school to alleviate the stress and she was in such a bad way she couldn't concentrate anyway. After a few CAMHS sessions she was diagnosed with depression and started on Fluoxetine 10mg. There wasn't any real improvement in her, so medication was increased to 20mg about 8 weeks ago. However since then she has been increasingly anxious with frequent thoughts of suicide. Her psychiatrist thinks these are side effects of the Fluoxetine and we are now phasing it back down to 10mg for 2 weeks and then taking her off it completely and replacing it with something else. I can't complain about the help we have had we got a referral from GP right away to CAMHS and have since been seeing phsychologist and psychiatrist, although my daughter is not keen to engage in the CBT sessions and "hates" them.I am beside myself with worry and would appreciate any advice or to know about anyone's experiences have been in this sort of situation.

Many people who have POTS are initially diagnosed as having anxiety and/or panic attacks. It might be worth checking the symptoms on www.potsuk.org.
