Doesn't look like chicken pox in my opinion, the spots of those are normally separated not bunched up together in a blotch (if that makes sense) not sure about measles but I've heard the rash from that usually starts behind the ears? Could be remembering that wrong.

My DS2 has a similar rash to that and has been diagnosed with scarlet fever this morning. I would get it looked at. He's not too poorly otherwise but it does need antibiotic treatment to avoid complications.

TinklyLittleLaugh · 23/03/2018 16:57

Looks like scarlet fever to me. My DD has it at the moment. Antibiotics are required to avoid nasty complications.

Gumbo · 23/03/2018 17:03

Yes, scarlet fever is doing the rounds in a big way right now (several cases in our local school)... It's good he's feeling well though , but you need to see a doctor..

ilovesprouts · 23/03/2018 20:10

I couldn't get into my doctors until Monday but I'm gonna take him to the walk-in centre tomorrow my sons girlfriend is pregnant at the moment is she at any risk?

Hope the walk in clinic can sort him, sounds like scarlet fever to me too.

ilovesprouts · 24/03/2018 17:03
