Strange itchy rash

My 7yo has this itchy rash on his back (& similar but less obvious on his front). It rough like sandpaper but not dark like I think it should be for scarlet fever... he's fine in himself (no temperature etc)

Can anyone reassure/advise me?

My ds gets similar rashes from washing powder, he still does if we use the wrong powder. He is prone to eczema though.

If he is well In himself then my advice would be an antihistamine first off, then warm shower.

Have you changed washing powder/soap?

Thank you!
No change to washing powder etc. He's been running tonight, so maybe related. He's not really had eczema in the past, but I'll get some antihistamines in.

My two ds are both prone to rashes caused by exercise, washing powders, heat etc I generally ignore them. A bit of antihistamine, calamine location or a bath with oilatum if they were particularly itchy.
