Hi

Fusst son will not eat any fruit or veg and is low in ferritin.

Has been given Sytron but it gives him the most awful wind and poops.

Are there any alternatives?

He will taken SPatone everyday, no problem, but this is low in elemental iron 5mg.

Thank you x

My son wouldn't take Sytron either. Fussy kids. He's on spatone one sachet a day in OJ - his iron levels have improved but aren't fantastic. I have had no guidance from his doctor on the dosage for spatone... so i'm interested to hear responses too.

Would he take Floradix liquid?

Hello

My son's ferritin level was 18. The range is from 20 - 200.

I see that Spatone is one sachet a day for kids over 2.

No, he won't take medicine at all - Sytron was okayish. He would take it at a push but I couldnt stand the embarrassing windy pops all the time.

The paed said to take it for a month to get his levels up. I may try again during the Easter holiday.

Do you know what your children's iron levels were?

xx
