Looks like a fairly standard rash to me. Having got 3 dc, 2 of whom get all manner of rashes I wouldn't be at all worried unless they were showing other signs of bad illness.

What are you worried about?

He's with his dad and it's hard to communicate with him as it is so I just get sent this !
I'm a worrier at heart but I know little ones get rashes

Try not to worry.
It isn't very easy to tell from here but the first thing I would say is, is dc well?
It looks like little pimples ( rather than a flat rash within the skin) so likely to be a minor infection or reaction to something . It will go away and you'll be none the wiser, or it will stay the same and you could see your pharmacist, practice nurse or GP later in the week or it will develop and become clear what the diagnosis and treatment required will be.
Let time pass, try not to worry, it's very unlikely to be anything much .

Did your DC have cpox very young?

Hard to say what it is but my first thought was 'it looks like when DD had shingles'. If it is do not worry! Totally different disease in kids to adults. DD was completely unaffected save a bit of itching.
