During a viral cold? How long does it take to go down?

It's been 3 weeks since a viral infection caused large nodes to swell in my DS even though his cold is gone the glands are still slightly swollen... it has gone down though but still visible if I look closely Confused

Yes! My ds (3) still has glands up after his last bout of tonsilitis over a month ago. Doctor said on toddlers it could take up to 6 weeks for them to go down. Tbh I was quite concerned as they were the size of two creme eggs and had him back at the docs last week again. He’s just told us to wait and watch.

I know logically it's normal for glands to swell for infection but when it happens to your own child it's scary and I just want it to go away!!

I got really large swollen glands for an ear infection last year and I wasn't bothered about myself lol
wish I had paid attention to how long it took to go though

I was just coming on here to ask this! My little one has had them for 2 months since he had tonsilitus. But he has had various colds and illnesses in that time so they keep coming back! I hate them, and I think we lose all logic when it comes to our children being ill!!
