Leg pain and weak muscles

Zoe91 · 06/03/2018 11:26

My 6 year old daughter has always complained of leg pain from knees down and seems to be when she has been most active. Her ballet teacher has said she noticed she has low muscle tone so I took her to doctors and gp said something isn't right and she has no reflexes in her knees or ankles.
She's been referred to rapid paediatrics.
Does anyone else have any experience with this?

She needs to be checked if she actually has no reflexes but paediatrician will be best placed to check.
Low tone or hypermobile or both?
Getting worse or staying the same ?
Late walker or early walker?

No experiences but I was coming on to say take her to GP. Hope the referral comes fairly swiftly so you can get answers

Thanks for your replies.

Dance teacher just said low muscle tone and gp just said no reflexes.
I didn't even notice it myself so I can't say if it's getting any worse or not.
She walked at 14 months

Her appointment with paediatrician is today so will see what they say.

How did it go with the paediatrician?

Zoe91 · 16/05/2018 14:55

It went well, the paediatrician is really good.
She's had 2 lots of blood tests for different things which came back fine and now has orthopaedics next month and is booked in to have an Electromyogram.

She said it could all just be her feet intoeing causing it and physio would help that, I'm hoping that's all it is now.
