5 week baby with cold

Hi everyone
Hope this is right place to post!
I have 5 week old baby who is full of cold. Watery eyes and snotty ad coughing! He sounds quite chesty.
He hasn't got a temperature and I'm reluctant to take him to doctors to avoid going out in this snow storm

Anything I could try??? Obviously if he gets worse or a temp he will be going straight to gp

Could you try having him in the bathroom whilst you run a hot shower so the steam helps his chest? Also a snot sucker to clear his nose? I remember doing both of these with DS when he was little.

Snot sucker (horrible but effective) and saline nasal drops/spray.

Young babies often don’t get temperatures
I would take him to the dr to get a once over

Have you got any Snufflebabe? I remember using tonnes of the stuff when kids were babies.

DC3 was like this. I think he came home from hospital with a cold because his first 8 weeks were like this. Saline drops/spray, snot sucker (yes to all of what Thishatisnotmine has written), and a Vicks warm air humidifier will help.
