Ds takes after me (a lot of glue ear when I was a child) and temporarily loses his hearing during/after a cold. He has had grommets previously (lasted 6 months) and hearing has been much better but this month has had a virus that is lingering and his hearing is awful, I have to repeat most things 4/5 times for him to hear and this has been at least 3 weeks now, I’m not concerned it is permanent loss (yet) as the virus is lingering, but is there anything I can do to help his hearing come back? Dr has said chest, throat and ears are all clear, the virus started with breathing problems. Can anyone suggest anything? He is deaf as a post at the moment.
