Threadworms - 18 month old

My 18 month old had threadworms. She’s been itching her nappy area and getting very frustrated especially at night time. I seen a tiny white threadworm in her nappy tonight.

Then of course I have now got them.

Will go to the pharmacy in the morning but I’ve read on NHS website that under 2s can’t get the normal treatment and I will need to see a gp for her.

Do I wait til Monday and ask for an emergency appointment? (Can’t get a non emergency appointment for over a week usually).

What is the treatment for under 2s?

I'm don't think under 2s can take anything and it's just hygiene measures for them.

When mine were little I was prescribed the prispen hardcore stuff. That was fun trying to make them drink it. But it needed a gp.

In the meantime a baby wipe will remove the glue if she’s unsettled and smear some vasilone thickly on the bumhole so she can sleep. Wash her down first thing.

Pripsen was discontinued so isn't available now so other treatments are for over 2s
