My 13 week old baby has had a permant cold since contracting bronchiolitis at 6 weeks. She was hospitalized and put on a drip and oxygen and discharged after two days. She is a twin and was the smaller twin, her other twin has been a but snuffly too but not really bothered by it. I have taken her to the Gp every other week but they check her chest and say its clear and then just tell me to keep giving her nasal drops and suction. She is really miserable and doesnt want to lie down to play. She sleeps like a newborn still with only brief waking periods and most of them spent coughing and crying. She has had constipation and bad wind for ages and the health visitor just advised I switch her to the comfort milk. She seems less fussy with her feeding and is going more reguarly but she still seems distressed and in pain and I dont know if this is from the cold or her stomach. I feel really upset and frustrated as I don't know who I can get to look at her. The Gps obviously dont think there is anything wrong but it can't be ok for her to still be unwell. I feel like it will affect her development as she is just spending all day sleeping. Any advice appreciated.
