Lump

noticed around September my 3 year old son had a small lump at the side of his neck around 6mm, not visible unless pointed out it's mostly under the skin but with 3 small all I can describe it is as is small root like protruding through the skin but not actually if coming through the skin if that makes sense .. sorry !!

I took him to the doctors who didn't know what this was but had no concerns but was to bring him back every few months for a check up which I have been doing and everything has been ok, went back in jan and seen a different doctor who has scared me stupid, it's not changed atoll but he gave me no reassurance, but sending us for a scan which is now on Thursday just to check what this is.

My question is has anyone had this before and found out it's nothing serious ? It doesn't cause him any pain atoll and it moves around when I press on it, can basically hold it within my nails and move around which is making me think it's just a cyst, My son is otherwise totally fine with no concerns atoll. Xx

Doesn't sound like anything ominous but will still be good to get it scanned and put your mind at rest won't it. Some doctors aren't very good at wording things to stop worrying. Do you have a picture?
