Strange rash??

Please help! My two and a half year old boy has this horrible rash on his arms legs feet and hands. It came up one day ago and the GP has just said keep an eye on it! He has moloscum contagion that we though was on its way out!! The gp said this rash is not that! Anyone seen anything like this before. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
