My ds had a sickness and diarrhoea bug at the beginning of January. Since then his farts have smelt toxic and his breath is grim. Any ideas what I could do tho help this? Wondered about probiotic drinks but have heard they aren’t effective anyway. What else rebalances guts? Or could it be something else?

What's his diet like?

It’s reasonable. He likes fruit, veg and salad, but also eats lots of honey on toast! I give him high fibre pasta, brown rice, etc because he can be a bit gunged up otherwise.
But his diet hasn’t changed, whereas his farts and breath have been different since the vomiting bug.

You could try probiotic capsules, or live yogurt of fermented foods like kefir. Along with as varied a diet of vegetables (esp green leafy veg) as you can get down him.
