Baby's tooth - help!

My DS is 5 months and I've just noticed he has a tooth at the front (top) that seems to be coming out of the front of the gum. In front of the ridge line IYSWIM.

Anybody with any knowledge/experience of this? Should I be worried/taking him to see someone, or just leaving it?

If you are worried it’s always worth getting it looked at. I wouldn’t usually recommend this but does google have any helpful answers?

It will probably sort itself out. My 7yo DS had shark teeth at the front, but that has all resolved itself with time.

You could always take him to see a dentist if you are worried. It's easier to get NHS appointments for children.

Thanks for the replies. There's not a lot I can find on google, I'm thinking taking him to a dentist might be worth it for piece of mind.

I think it's normal for them to look like that? When DS cut his top middle ones they kind of cut through the gum half way up. They are BIG teeth so as they move down it looks more normal.

Kind of like this?

Yes, like that picture. When my DD's front teeth came through they were just on the ridge line. Is in front of the line normal too? Probably likely worrying unnecessarily.

I think that's normal
