Should I take DS to GP? Can't decide

My 4 year old DS has had a chesty cough for 2 weeks now and is coughing up phlegm and is a bit wheezy. He is a bit pale and has had a couple of days of not eating a lot.

He seems OK today - eaten a big breakfast. No temp at any stage. We have been debating taking him to GP or not for the past few days. Nursery hinted we should - guess I am worried about a chest infection but wouldn't he have a temp?
