2 year old has a piece of red glitter in his tear duct, tried getting it out but can’t. What should we do?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

How have you tried to remove it?
Ideally an optician appointment depending on age, might be able to flush it out with saline?

Has he been crying? I would have thought it would wash out like that.

I remember my dad using the twisted point of a tissue to gently remove sand from our eyes as children.

You can get eye baths from chemist . That should help

MikeUniformMike · 22/01/2018 15:55

Lots of tepid water to flush it out. Hanky if you think you won't scratch the eye.

Calpol syringe, full with cooled boiled water and squirt on eye?

cowatthegate · 22/01/2018 16:14

No he doesn’t cry really. Will see if it comes out in the bath.
