Hi all. I read online the other day something about having vaccinations whilst on antibiotics that it said you shouldn't have it done. My DS is due his 1 year jabs on Tuesday but will be on his 6th day of a 10 day course if Erythromycin does anyone know what the advice is for it/if he is still able to have it done? TIA

I know that drs prefer to wait until the child is physically well before giving vaccines. Would be worth giving the clinic a phone and postponing for a week.

Is it because it hampers the immune response? I would ring surgery and see what they advise.

That's what I thought it might be yes - they need to be generally well to recognise the difference between illness symptoms and vaccine symptoms. Ringing docs tomorrow to check just in case as his appt is Tuesday!!!
