11 year old daughter is complaining of sore privates but only at night

Please help my daughter is really upset in the middle of the night , she cries out her privates hurt and writhes around.
The doc prescribed thrush cream but does not seem to help .
I cannot see any threadworms either .
Can anyone help with advice .

Thread worms my not be visible. I would treat for that and see how she is after.

TMI alert, if you can persuade her to put a thin smear of Sudacreme or Vaseline on the, opening, after washing and before bed. It stops them from exiting and attaching to the skin to lay eggs.

My DD had this and it was threadworms (you can't always see them). I know it was worms because the day after she took a worm tablet the pain/itchiness had disappeared.

If not worms, then it could be crystalised urine if she does not drink enough. I had this. You often get spots of blood with this as well. The cure is to drink lots of water.

She went to the Gp yesterday .
I gave her a dose of worm treatment (yesterday) Also had her in the bath at 2 in the morning for two nights running to sooth . It’s exhausting

Also gp asked if I’d put cream on her that morning and said she didn’t want to swab cream .

The cream only works if applied in the evening, because they are active overnight. I’m not sure why that is, but it is. The discomfort comes the secretions they use to stick eggs to the skin.
