Norovirus and passing it on

Hi, I had what I’m sure was the Norovirus, started on Monday night and the last time I was sick was Tuesday around 10am, then slept all day and night practically. Yesterday my little boy was vomiting too and has been sick again this morning.

I’m due to be going to a baby shower at the weekend, but my friend is 36 weeks and her Mum has also just been diagnosed with breast cancer. I feel it’s best to say I can’t go as if hate to pass the illness on to them. Is that possible though if it’s just my children that have it now? Will I still carry it or am I all clear and overreacting?

Thanks! Smile

I wouldn't risk it. There is a chance that you could become re-infected from your children. Norovirus is horrible, so please stay at home.

I wouldn't go.

That’s my fear. Thanks for your replies :)

Also, I think I love you a bit for being so cautious. Jerks who pass on d&v bugs because they can't be bothered to stay quarantined make me so cross. We all have to do it, Jerks.

Haha thank you! Completely agree! It infuriates me when you go to playgroups and kids are visibly sick! Shock
