Tight foreskin 6 year old

Hi, sorry for the graphic detail. My 6 year old DS has a right foreskin. When he pulls it back, it doesn't pull back over the head fully, only on one side a little and you can just see the head underneath. It doesn't balloon when he urinates. We have a doc appointment next week but wondered if anyone has experience of this. I thought it was meant to retract by now.
Thanks.

Hi, I actually have noticed this with my 5 year old DS when I’m trying to teach him to wash himself. I’m not with his dad but mentioned to my fiancé and he said it’s normal for this age (he has a 10 year old son). Interested to hear what the doc says to you though.

Sounds completely normal for his age. Don't attempt to pull it back before it's ready as it could really hurt him and cause damage

Normal
Don't make him pull it back
It will come looser as he gets a bit older

I know this because my son pulled his back aged 12 and ripped skin from his glans (?). Apparently still has the scar too

Tell him not to pull it back ; there are small adhesions between the foreskin and the penis that gradually clear between babyhood and adulthood... this is an entirely normal process and only needs interfering with in some cases of recurrent infection or if the foreskin gets stuck above the glans causing painful restriction of blood flow
