My DD (12 by the way so no excuse) has a eraser from a pencil stuck down her ear.

Sooooo.....is it a GP job or a walk in centre? I am worried if take her to the GP they will just send me to the walk in centre. So do I just cut out the middle man even though it is far away ?

Urgent care/Walk in centre jobby. If its lodged far down they may need to refer you to ENT specialist to fish it out. X

walk in centers seem to vary a bit in how much expertise they have with ears. Your local one may be very good but they may defer to ENT

A foreign body in the ear is not a huge emergency unless it is organic (like a peanut or insect) and elicits an inflammatory reaction. probably the best way to do this is to remove it with a microscope which ENT clinics have. Most GPs do not have this facility but some will still syringe ears.
