Any experience/ advice really appreciated please.
DD is 6 & and now and again she has this this after she does a big poo. On checking you can see a little spilt/ tear after. I’ve been giving her orange juice every day to see if will soften her stool but it still happens on occasion. She does pop pretty much daily. She occasionally gets worried about it.

See your GP if it doesn't improve as it sounds like she has some small fissures.

Because every time she poos they get stretched again they can take a long time to heal. They can get really painful though and kids then start to hold poo in because it hurts to go. Stools get harder in the gut and fissures get worse.

It is a vicious cycle. GP may prescribe movocol or similar to keep things soft enough for the fissures to heal.

Thank you for the reply. It only happens once every few months. I’m not sure I want to worry her more by getting dr involved and starting bowel meds so young. I accept I may need to though.
