We are on day 4 of chicken pox and i have become worried that my sons are looking very red in the surrounding skin. He has also just developed a high temperature. Can anyone advise as to whether this looks normal. Thanks.

They do look angry. Could be infected and may need antibiotics

Best to check it out if he has a high temp. My daughters were like this but on her face and she was really poorly but they aside we just had to ride it out. No high temp for her though. Hope he’s better soon!

I think they look not too bad. My daughter had infected chicken pox and they had puss in them with a large red ring around them in the surrounding skin. The pharmacist was able to give me antibiotic cream which helped it so there was no need to take her to the GP.
Second daughter got vaccinated at age 1 as it's such a horrible thing.
Really hope they start clearing up soon.
