My 7 year old daughter

Hi , my daughter is 7 . Since she was old enough to walk she has always been what you would describe as clumsy , constantly falling over and covered in bruises as she would just clatter in to things . Although the clumsiness has subsided a little her movements still aren't fluid , she will take a few steps then run and jump . This is constant not just when excited . When st hole and playing she literally bounces off surfaces . She seems to have difficulty using a knife at meal times and also school have mentioned her writing isn't as neat as they would expect . She has so many near misses in a day it's unreal
Academically she is doing really well aside from her writing . I've taken her to the doctor in the past and been told I am worrying for nothing . Am I ? Is this just her personality ?
She also struggles with anxiety again as advised by school
Anyone who has had similar experiences please let me know this is normal
Thanks in advance

Look up dyspraxia, and if you think it fits push your GP for a referral to an occupational therapist

Do her joints feel loose? I’d say either hypermobility or dyspraxia too.

She fits some of her dyspraxia symptoms to be honest but GP doesn't seem to think so
Second opinion maybe ?

I'd definitely push for a second opinion. State what you think it is and that you want to be reffered to the occupational therapist

DOES SHE wear glasses OP?My 7yo was like his until I took him to the opticians and turned out her could see very little. Once he got his glasses it all changed.

BigBairyHollocks · 09/01/2018 18:29

Oops sorry for shouting, clearly I need glasses!

She's had her eyes checked and all seems normal , gonna go back to docs and push for a referral . Thanks ladies x
