Chest pain / difficulty breathing - exercising in cold weather

DS had to stop rugby training this morning as he was unable to breathe (his words later on - he was still walking, but couldn’t talk) and his chest was hurting. He was white with red hands - ground is frozen, temp probably 1 degree. Was well dressed for training but went straight from a warm car to running laps.

Some purposeful breathing and a drink had his breathing sorted but an hour later it’s still 5/10 on a pain scale.

I can’t get an appt with our health access centre for today. It’s not A&E worthy. But is it 111 worthy? Would mean that we’d get a priority appt at GP I think. Just concerned that the breathing element will trigger an insistence on an A&E trip.

He hasn’t really had a cold lately and he’s well otherwise so don’t think it’s a chest infection.
