Has anyone had an experience of Poxclin cool mousse? My 3 year old has come down with chickenpox and I'm trying to find out whats the best way to treat them.

We used Virasoothe. DD had one spot which was close to her eye so I did not use it on that spot. That spot look longer to heal and has left a scar.

I believe you can also get in a spray which might be easier to get on a reluctant child.

You can’t give nurofen with chicken pox but give calpol regularly as they will feel rotten. Ice lollies are good if they get spots on their throat or tongue.

Oat baths can be soothing. Fill a sock with oats and put it in the bath. Rub the oat sock over the spots.

Poxclin expensive but effective. Used it on both my DD years apart and had no scarring and no itching.
