Hello everyone.

I need advice, baby has had this rash since Tuesday. It's actually a lot better today but hasn't totally gone. Went to docs yesterday. Was told could be chickenpox but unlikely as it hasn't really multiplied. I feel awful if it is and i went to the docs, it doesn't look like chickenpox in the slightest. To me anyway.

Does anyone have any ideas? Or had similar. Baby is 5 months old. No temp, and perfectly normal.

I've attached a photo of one of the spots.

Thanks all x

Could it be an insect bite? How is the baby? If acting/feeling poorly as well as rash, I'd take to doctors. not worth risking a 'lets see how it goes' approach. But if the baby is fine and not bothered by the rash, its probably not much to worry about. Babies get rashes a lot. there is foot and mouth going on round my area..

It could be, but there's about 5 others ones on his back and stomach. He is totally fine. No issues, sleeping a bit more than usual during the day but he's non stop just now so could be that. The doctor said to come back if doesn't clear up, was given some gel to put on 3 x a day so hopefully it helps. Thanks x

Ah thank you! Sounds like it could be a mild case as we haven't changed anything!

Will keep a close eye, he's bright and alert and smiling away so all seems fine :)
