Question about H Pylori stool test (sorry!)

went to GP with 6 year old DS in the week as he was having issues with pain after eating and on waking - and I suspect gastritis as i had it year ago.
Anyway, she palpated him and he shouted ow! in the upper gastro area and we were prescribed omeprazole. Then she said we'd better check for h pylori before he started with the above so I managed to get a sample (still heaving!) before starting the medication.
Having a read around though the antacids I had been giving him might produce a false negative - we're talking the equivalent of a "rennie" a day as I used to split one in half to give to take at snack and lunchtime until we could get into the doctors.
I did mention at the time what he'd been taking but does anyone know if it's going to make the stool test pointless?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I don't know the answer but it is definitely worth checking. I know omeprozole can interfere (just having my test redone because of this).

Hope you get some answers .
