Clicking 'skull' ?

DD (11) had a jaw injury last month -small child's head impacted her jaw, instant pain that shot around her jaw and up and around her hole skull. She was in agony. One side swelled up slightly and she was in pain trying to talk, eat etc.

A&E didn't X-ray but said that it was just an impact and that nothing was damaged. Ibuprofen and paracetamol for the days after to relieve the pain.

When she walks, runs and climbs stairs, she feels a 'click' in her skull, at the top and around the side. She can only describe it as similar to the click/crack you get in your knees or fingers.

It doesn't hurt but she gets this every day.

What could it be?
