Fluoride quantities in kids' toothpaste

I’ve been using a kids’ toothpaste for my 4 year old which has 1450 ppm of fluoride. I just noticed our adult toothpaste also has 1450 ppm. Is there any reason he can’t switch to the adult toothpaste? It says not for use by under 7s on it, but I can’t see why if the fluoride content is the same.

Absolutely no reason not to switch, children’s toothpaste are just a marketing gimmick.

No reason not to use a small amount of adult. As pp said it’s just to have an audience to sell to.

Is your adult one a whitening one? Shouldn't be used on children's teeth as it can be abrasive. Other adult ones will say you can use a pea sized amount for supervised brushing

Kids ones usually have a milder flavour but not a problem if they don't mind mint. It's all a gimmick!
