Hi just looking for abit of advice. My 5 year old has always had a bit of a problem with anything that is textured. For example he will only eat solid food any thing that has a texture to it he will point blank refuse to even try it, he will not take part in any kind of messy play because of fear of his hands being dirty. Over the past few months this seems to have got alot worse. When trying to get him to try new foods he retches at the thought of trying them. Yesterday we was at the park and he fell over and got his hands dirty, as soon as he stood up and looked at his hands he was sick alot and kept retching until I cleaned his hands.
Just wondering if any other parents have experienced this and if its it's something we should be seeing a doctor about.
Thank you in advance for any replies.

Hi, I’m no expert at all but as soon as I read your post it made me think of sensory processing problems, like I said I’m in no way an expert it’s just something I’ve heard of and might be worth looking into. Also speak to your child’s school if you have any worries, see if they’ve picked up on anything xx
