18 month olds teeth - experiences please!

My lo is 18months old and got her 1st teeth (bottom front 2) at the age of 14months. About 6 weeks ago her top 2 came through (1 then a week later the 2nd). Last week 1 of her molars came through and then 2 days later the molar on the other side came through. Only the bottom 2 are through properly, the others are still coming through (slowly!). Has anyone had any experiences similar? Im worried about the missing teeth between the laterals and molars - there should be 2 on either side. By this age they should have roughly 14 - 16 and my lo has 6!

I really wouldn't worry, my eldest didnt have any at all until he was 18 months old and now at 16 he is fine.
And again my youngest son had all his baby teeth by 22 months again normal.
Are you taking her to the dentist yet? If not get her booked in for peace of mind.
All mine been going from a year old, good to get them used to it.

Thank you Daffodils. She has had a visit to the dentist at 12months, he wasnt concerned that at the time she had no teeth, he said they would be there. Im concerned her teeth may come through crooked as may not have enough room with the molars being there first but i think i should make another appointment just to see.

My dd didn't get her first tooth until she was 16 months. Even then, each tooth took ages to come in. One of her front top teeth seemed to be stuck at about half through for nearly a year, then eventually it came fully down.

The dentist said she has very fibrous gums and that explained why the teeth were so slow coming through. I can't remember if they all came through in the 'right' order or not though. I'm sure everything is fine but it never hurts to talk things over with a professif you're concerned.
