Help! Discovered last night that DS has worms so sent DH out to midnight pharmacy to get medication. So we all had the dose last night and DS gets another in 2 weeks. But what about the rest of us?? The medication only kills the worms and not the eggs, what if we all have eggs that hatch in 2 weeks time and it’s only DS that has had the second dose to kill the next batch of worms?? I’m so freaked out and disgusted by it all. I’ve been bleaching and boil washing everything in sight from late last night. My OCD and anxiety are through the roof Sad

I thought you repeated the dose again for everyone. Threadworms are very common, maybe a all in one suit at bedtime might help.

Every time worms are mentioned people freak out.

why?

They are perfectly normal in small children. Seriously.

LemonysSnicket · 27/10/2017 11:10

Just get everyone to repeat the dose. Worms are normal, I had them loads as a kid. And nothing was ever boiled ...

Don't freak out. Yes they are horrible f#@ckers but a fact of life especially with kids. Try not to pass your anxiety onto your children though. Just do the good hygiene, take the meds and lay off the sugary foods and it will be okay.

Thanks for the advice. I’ve chilled out a bit now but it really isn’t pleasant, I hope we get rid of it first time round I’m knackered with the amount of washing and cleaning Wink
