Hello.

Sisters baby. Im not with her at the moment

Baby is 5 days old.

Sleeping most of day today, normally more awake

Drinking and weeing and pooing fine

No temperature

But not crying

Im worried about the not crying. And being more sleepy?
Will there be more signs if he was poorly

My babies never cried, just made a bit of a whinge noise when they needed a feed. If your sister is responding to his feeding cues then he may not have needed to cry.
If he’s feeding and has wet and dirty nappies with no temp then l wouldn’t be worried.

Look for mottled skin
Grunting
Drinking less
Weeing less
Weak cry

But most of all go on instinct - if you think something is not right go to a hospital or out of hours immediately. No dr will ever mind checking a newborn.

I think she should go to a dr just to be sure.

Pd newborns don’t get temperatures so don’t go on that

Sleepy babies can be jaundiced.
