Itchy vulva

DD (9) has an itchy vulva. It's keeping her awake and she's very uncomfortable, I just don't know what to do. It's not red and there's no discharge so it seems to be some kind of non specific vulvovaginitis. I've tried a cold compress and have just resorted to calpol, any thoughts what it could be and how I can make her more comfortable?

worms or thrush maybe

Is there any chance that she is beginning to grow pubic hair? My daughter had terrible trouble with this for a few months. She was a bit older than your dd though - 10 going on 11, I think. It drove her nuts.

Thank you, hadn't even considered threadworms but reading the symptoms it seems likely. Yay for MN!

My DD9 is going through exactly the same thing. Did you find anything to calm the itching? Nothing seems to soothe her. Thanks
