Hand foot and mouth

and knees, legs, elbows, arms, armpit, ears throat, groin and bum!

This is what my 3 yo has got - I am positive this is what she has got and I after calling the docs this morning I have to phone back triage tomorrow if I need an appointment (which I think she will be ok)

Has anyone else's children had it like this?

No definitely not the same as chicken pox, more like small round bumps of spots than fluid filled blisters and none on the actual tummy, back or head. I know kids can sometimes have them again but all three had them just over 3 years ago so have seen them before (maybe if not I would maybe think it was chickenpox)

She seems better now the spots have come out as she was exhausted after nursery earlier in the week and she had a cold and slight temp but all of my friends IRL said their kids just had them in the hand foot and mouth area!

She isn't poorly in herself enough for a doc appointment but would like to diagnose.

Hi my DD had exactly this a couple weeks ago. Posted on here so still here with pics. It was terrible round her moth, hands, feet, armpits, elbows and a few blisters dotted about elsewhere. I have never seen her so ill and it was soooo much worse than chicken pox.
It was very bad for about 5 days and within a further 2-4 days she was better. It's really horrible isn't it? I did take her to GP but nothing they could do.
I hope you LO feels better soon.

She's now got a bumpy rash all the way up her arms legs. Other than being a little clingy she is ok in herself. So so strange! Also her siblings haven't got it yet!

When my ds had it he seemed fine in himself just covered in blisters. The only ones that really bothered him were the ones in his mouth which were awful. The spots took absolutely ages to fully go away.

It does sound exactly like HFM (we have had it 3 times in this house; I consider myself something of an expert!). Here they ask you not to go to GP to diagnose.

IME it's worst the day before and the first day the spots strike. After that they're usually okay unless unlucky enough to get bad spots inside throat or very sore bums.
