My young toddler has had a loose nappy earlier and followed through about seven hours after the initial nappy. Would this be considered diarrhea or just something he's eaten?. His temp is normal 37.5.

It's a difficult one to call. So many things can affect their nappies. I know then mine are teething they get loose nappies and can have a few in a day but you will normally then find a new tooth within a few days. I would say to monitor it and wait and see.
