Sprengal deformity

Anyone have any experience with sprengal deformity? (Sprengal shoulder).
As far as I know, it's when the shoulder blades do not decend into their final place, appearing smaller and higher up on the back. It usually only effects one shoulder but my DS has suspected sprengal shoulder in both shoulders (not yet diagnosed until he sees his physio). he has a few other things going on with him too, but I just wanted to know if anyone else has had a child with this and what happens? Is it just exercises or surgery?? He has limited arm reaching and cannot put his hands up straight.

Any help or advice would be great. Thanks

I haven't come across it, but dd2 is missing her hand and you may find someone at her charity who knows a little. Try reach.org.uk

They're mostly amputees, but may be able to help, if nothing else with practical suggestion.
