October is AVM awareness month, this rare and sometimes fatal condition is little known.
My previously healthy daughter was diagnosed with this in December last year having suffered a massive brain haemorrhage, luckily she survived due to her fantastic medical team, but our story could have been so different if she hadn't got prompt medical treatment. That evening her life and ours changed forever.
