Got an incredibly upset DD tonight. She's been unwell for a couple days, not eating, not sleeping, fever. Today she has these spots come out. The picture is from her arm pit but her lips and around her mouth are very blistered and very sore looking. She only has a couple light red spots on her wrists and maybe 2/3 on her fingers. She has been going between hysterical and slight moaning all day and I'm honestly close to tears. The longest she has slept is 20 minute stretches thevlast two nights and no naps during the day. I went to the pharmacist for more calpol today and she said it was probably viral, maybe hand foot and mouth. But basically keep her hydrated. (She has only just got over a bad urine infection).

I can't remember if DS1 had any on his trunk when he had it, but I remember he wasn't at all disturbed by it. He had spots but was fine. So maybe, as the ones on her face look sore and she is in pain, I would bring her to a Out of hours.

She was up all night. Got a pic of her mouth now. Her throat also sounds really sore. Spots are a lot more visible on her hands also.

It could be. My DS had it pretty bad and he had spots everywhere.
But that does look pretty nasty.
If I were you I may give 111 a wee call just to make sure.
Poor wee soul. Hope she's better soon x

Yes I think it is.
So many children in my area have this at the moment
Hope she is ok

sorry i think it might be the start of it - my son has it as we speak - its horrid!

Twopeapods · 03/10/2017 11:52

Was definitely hand foot and mouth. But with blisters all over. She is feeling better now. Just still a bit scabby. Horrible virus! Been way worse than chicken pox! Unfortunately between her high temp and lack of drinking and eating she has another urine infection:-(

I'm so sorry to hear. My son is still bf and currently not eating much - struggling to get anything into him.

Hope your girl feels better soon.

Oh no midnight. Poor wee soul. Hopefully your little one is better soon too. Mine was bad for 4 days then a lot better after that.
