Chicken pox with no spots?

Well almost no spots. Is this possible?

There's a notice up at nursery warning that chicken pox is doing the rounds. This morning DS had a slight fever. I checked him over and he has 4 spots, 2 on his chest, 1 on his back and 1 on his face. He we go I thought. Except no more have appeared. The one on his back has turned into that distinctive blister type spot but the others just look red and sore.

I know that chicken pox varies hugely in severity, but just 4 spots. Is this even possible?

They can come out over a few days so that may not be all of them yet

I didn't know that. I remember having it as a teenager and remember going from a couple of spots on my chest to head to toe covered within a couple of hours.

I'll keep an eye on him.

When my dd had chickenpox she had 5 big spots and the rest were tiny pinprick looking ones. All the big spots scarred. Before that we had a week of high temperatures.

No doubt about it today.
