Big infected moloscum

Dd 6 has had moloscum for a few months all pretty small apart from a huge one on her shoulder. This looked just like a flesh coloured mole with no centre or redness.
So on Friday I noticed it had gone very red and by then next day had the start of a yellow head with redness around it.
Next day it was bigger and more yellow.
By Monday it was huge and extremely yellow.
She let me lance it and lots of yellow puss came out. I bathed and dressed it and it felt more comfy.
So today it's built back up again and I pressed a clean tissue around it and lots of puss came out again.
It's red and painful.
Do you think I need to get it checked out tomorrow if it's no better or is this how they go?

I think I would get it checked out. My son had molloscum and when I showed the practice nurse she gave me cream to put on one that had gone nasty. Can't remember which cream. You could try the pharmacist first?

My kids had this with a few of their molluscs spots. They seemed to go through a phase where a few of them flared up, got infected, spewed out a load of gunky stuff and a few weeks later they all disappeared. My personal theory is that it's their immune system waking up to the fact that they have molluscum and getting round to fighting it off!
