Hand licking

My dd is 5 and recently I've noticed that she licks her fingers and hands a lot! She does it mostly when she is engrossed in something like watching tv or listening to a story. I don't know if she realises she's doing it either. I've noticed in the last 2 minutes she's licked her index finger 15 times. Should I be worried?

My dd did this around age 3 or 4. She was quite fidgety generally. But after a while she stopped and hasn't done it since (now 9). I don't think it's anything to worry about.
