Ibuprofen Dose - small child

I was just looking on the Nurofen website to try to work out what doses I could give - I was weighing up if it would be better to give 4 doses of 2.5ml in 24 hrs, rather than 3 doses of 5ml. Anyway, they've got a calculator on their website where you can select age or weight. If I select DDs weight, it says she needs to dose for a 3-6 month old (2.5ml max 3 times a day). She's 15 months so I've given her the dose for that age (3 doses of 5 ml in the past 24 hours). Obviously now I will revert to the lower dose, but would the higher dose have done any damage?

3 lots in a whole 24 hours wouldnt of done anyharm.

But i would recommend sticking to the weight dose from now on

I don't think it will cause any harm, although I try to make sure that my DDs have something lining their stomach when giving brufon. Otherwise they tend to get a bit of an upset tummy.
