Just back from a week in Med, while away ds seemed to need a wee with increasing urgency. Hence lots of unexpected stops and wild wees! This morning he woke up very upset he'd wet the bed. Now complaining tummy hurts and burning when weeing. Out of hours here are awful and it's unlikely we'd get seen till early hours. Can I help any more than paracetamol and endless water until we can get to walk in tomorrow?

A UTI can turn nasty if untreated - are there any other symptoms that you are worried about that may be an indication that it may be something else or spread?

Temperature? Shivering (often comes with kidney infection) Severe pain? Blood in urine?

Thanks Wings, nothing else that seems too bad at minute although I need to go get a thermometer if he'll get off my lap as he feels a bit clammy but it is warm here and he's still in long sleeved top and tracking bottoms. I don't think I'll have any hope of getting bicarb down him, water is a struggle along with cranberry.
