Now this really freaked me out - has anybody got any info/advice?

My daughter is 8 months old. I was giving her a bath tonight and as I was washing her hair she seemed to panic a bit and wanted to get out of the bath. She didn't cry or anything. I looked at her and her eye was a bit red so assumed she got a bit of shampoo in her eye and rinsed it off. She was fine and continued playing as I continued to wash her hair. Then I looked at her again and half her face was red. A perfect half, you could draw a line down her face it was so perfectly half. Literally down half her forehead, nose, chin - a perfect line!
Totally panicked and got her out of bath, wiped her face again. After a few minutes rinsed it again with clean water.

She was fine, not crying, smiling, playing. Had her milk and went to sleep ok, no drama.

The redness went down over about 20 minutes and it's now gone.

What was this???

The shampoo was not new, we have been using it for a couple weeks now. Totally freaky isn't it!

Very unusual but I have heard of something happened like that before. Ring nhs111 see what a doctor thinks.
I would be shocked too.
